Description
The Citronic CAB-8 is a full-range passive speaker cabinet built for compact, capable sound reinforcement. It houses a custom-designed low frequency woofer paired with a titanium compression driver, so you get a powerful yet balanced sound across the range. The enclosure is a moulded polypropylene (PP) design, which keeps things light without giving up on durability, making the CAB-8 easy to move and set up wherever you need it.
We've found the practical touches make a real difference on the job. Integral top and side carry handles let you lift and position the cabinet quickly, and the 35mm pole mount socket means you can raise it on a speaker stand or subwoofer pole for better coverage. Dispersion sits at 90° by 60°, giving you a sensible spread for smaller rooms, mobile setups and live events where you don't want to fuss with placement.
Connection to your amplifier runs through a Speakon lead to either of the two SPK sockets on the rear panel, so you can loop through to a second cabinet with ease. The CAB-8 runs at 8 Ohms with the LF and HF combined and handles 150W RMS. It's a straightforward, reliable cabinet for anyone building a passive PA system, whether that's for a band, a DJ setup or general venue use where portability matters.

Frequently Asked
Is the CAB-8 an active or passive speaker?
It's a passive cabinet, so it needs an external amplifier. You connect the amp to the cabinet using a Speakon lead through one of the two SPK sockets on the rear panel.
Can I mount the CAB-8 on a speaker stand?
Yes. The cabinet has a 35mm pole mount socket, so it fits standard speaker stands and subwoofer poles for raised placement.
What power and impedance does the CAB-8 handle?
It handles 150W RMS and runs at 8 Ohms, with the low and high frequency sections combined. Match your amplifier accordingly.
Can I connect two cabinets together?
Yes. There are two SPK sockets on the rear, so you can loop through to a second cabinet from the first.
What is the cabinet made from?
The enclosure is injection moulded polypropylene, which keeps the cabinet lightweight while staying tough enough for regular transport and gigging.
What kind of coverage does it give?
The CAB-8 has a dispersion of 90° by 60°, which spreads sound well across smaller venues, mobile rigs and live events.
