Description

The Ciggiano is a long, slim LED bar pendant in black, 150cm long and 10cm wide, hung on two fine wires from a neat rectangular ceiling canopy. The body is aluminium and steel, and a white plastic diffuser runs the length of the underside, so the light falls evenly across the surface beneath it. The LEDs are integrated, drawing 30W and giving 4,440lm, a generous output for a long dining table or a kitchen island. It is rated IP20, which means indoors and dry: living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens and studies, but never a bathroom or an outdoor space.

We would hang it over a dining table, a kitchen island or a long desk, where one bar gives clean, even light without the clutter of several separate pendants. The colour temperature adjusts from a warm 2200K to a crisp 6500K, so the same light suits a slow supper in the evening and focused work first thing in the morning. It dims too, letting you set the brightness to match the hour and the mood. The overall height is 150cm and the drop adjusts by hand, so you can bring the bar down to the level that suits your table and your ceiling.

Brightness and colour temperature are both set from the remote control that comes in the box, and the remote takes a CR2032 coin cell. The light has no switch of its own, so it is turned on and off at the wall. It runs on 220-240V, 50/60Hz mains and has an energy class of C. As a wired-in mains light, it should be installed by a qualified electrician, and the installation instructions are available as a download. Packed, it weighs 4.474KG.
