Description

The Christina is a 5-light chandelier with curved metal arms finished in a hand-applied silver and gold patina, fitted with cut glass sconces and cascading crystal drops beneath each arm. The fitting takes five E14 candle bulbs (sold separately, maximum 60W each) and is designed to convert between a hanging chandelier and a semi-flush ceiling mount depending on the installation height available.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms where a traditional decorative fitting is needed, the Christina works in rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. In hanging configuration the drop adjusts from 550mm to 1025mm during installation by shortening the chain, allowing the fitting to sit 700-900mm above a dining table or lower in a double-height hallway. In semi-flush mode the fitting sits closer to the ceiling, reducing the overall drop to around 470mm for rooms where a full chandelier drop would be impractical.

The silver and gold patina finish is applied by hand to the metal frame, creating tonal variation across the surface that gives the fitting an aged appearance rather than a uniform metallic sheen. The curved arms extend outwards from a central column to a diameter of 470mm, with each arm holding a cut glass sconce that diffuses the bulb light and a cluster of faceted crystal drops beneath. The combination of metal, glass and crystal gives the fitting a combined weight that requires a ceiling rose rated for chandelier loads.

How is the crystal cleaned?

The crystal drops can be wiped gently with a dry microfibre cloth while the chandelier is switched off and cool. For more thorough cleaning, individual crystal pieces can be removed, washed in warm soapy water, rinsed, dried and re-hung. Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the metal frame as this may affect the patina finish.
