Description

The Chord XU2-H gives you two channels of handheld UHF wireless microphones running from a compact half-width 1U rack receiver. It's built for vocalists, presenters and instructors who want straightforward operation without giving up pro-level features. The receiver uses a true diversity design with dual antennas (aerials) and internal distribution, which keeps reception steady and helps cut out dropouts as you move around the room.

Setup stays simple thanks to 10 groups of 9 selectable UHF carrier frequencies, covering both the UK/EU licence-free UHF band and the PMSE licensed duplex gap. You can sync settings from the receiver to each transmitter over infra-red, so there's no fiddly manual matching. The front panel carries a colour TFT display with per-channel level metering, plus a volume control and indicator LEDs for each channel. Backlight colours are selectable per channel, and each handheld transmitter has its own LCD showing frequency and battery status with a backlight set to one of 6 colours for quick identification.

Connections give you flexibility on stage or in a fixed install. The receiver offers XLR outputs per channel along with a 6.3mm mix output, and each set ships with rack-mount hardware plus antenna extension cables so you can front-mount the antennas when you need them. The transmitters run on 2 x AA batteries each, with a wireless range of up to 60m. At 205 x 205 x 44mm and 755g, the receiver slots neatly into a half of a 1U rack space, making it easy to pack alongside the rest of your kit.
