Description

This is the beltpack transmitter for Chord's NU20 dual channel wireless receivers, running on the 864.8MHz carrier frequency. It clips to a belt or waistband and sends audio to the receiver over UHF, giving you freedom to move around a stage, lectern or classroom without a trailing cable. A pilot tone keeps the link locked to the matching receiver, which helps tuning stay stable and reduces the chance of picking up stray signals.

You get up to 60m of range in open conditions, which covers most halls, worship spaces and event rooms. The transmitter takes a threaded 3.5mm mono jack, so it works with Chord neckband and lavalier microphones (a lavalier is the small clip-on mic sometimes called a lapel mic). The threaded fitting means the connector won't work loose while you present or perform. Power comes from two AA batteries, so replacements are easy to find and quick to swap between sessions.

The unit measures 205 x 68 x 25mm and weighs 76g without batteries, so it sits comfortably on a belt without dragging. It's offered in two carrier frequency versions; this one is fixed at 864.8MHz, so make sure it matches the channel on your NU20 receiver.
