The Chord KPB2 is a felt head beater for your bass drum pedal, also known as a kick drum pedal. It fits onto the pedal in place of the original beater and gives you a hard felt strike head for a rounded, warm note against the drum head.

Felt beaters like this one produce a softer attack than plastic or wood, so you get more low end and less click. That makes the KPB2 a good match for acoustic playing where you want the bass drum to sit rather than cut through. The hard felt keeps the note focused without the harshness of a solid head.

The stem measures 6mm in diameter and 160mm in length, which suits most standard bass drum pedals. Fitting is straightforward: loosen the beater clamp on your pedal, slide out the old beater, insert the KPB2 stem and tighten it back up. Set the height to suit your playing position before you lock it off.
