The Chord KALIMBA-O17C is a 17-key kalimba with a carved okoume wood body and a decorative rosette. Tuned to the standard key of C Major, it covers notes from C to the octave E. The kalimba, also known as a thumb piano or finger piano, is a descendant of the African mbira. You play it by plucking the metal tines with your thumbs, and each of the 17 keys has its note and number stamped on it to help you find your way around.

Every key is tuneable, so you can keep the instrument sounding right over time. The set comes with a tuning hammer for adjusting the tines, plus labels for learning the keys and a beginner's guide to get you started. Thimbles are included too, which some players like to wear to protect their thumbs during longer sessions. A carrying bag keeps everything together and makes the kalimba easy to take with you.
