Description
The Chord GB-E1 is a padded gig bag made to carry an electric guitar safely between home, rehearsals and gigs. It's built from water resistant nylon fabric with a 20mm padded interior, so your guitar has a good buffer against knocks and light weather while you're on the move. The shape follows a standard electric body, keeping the fit snug without leaving too much room for the instrument to shift around inside.
Carrying options are covered well. You get back-pack shoulder straps for hands-free travel, plus two carry handles for shorter trips or lifting the bag in and out of a car. Heavy duty zip fasteners run the length of the opening, and a handy neck hook inside holds the guitar in place while you zip up. It all adds up to a bag that's easy to grab and go with, whether you're walking to a practice room or loading up for a show.
Storage is practical too, with three easy access pockets for the bits you carry alongside the guitar. There's room for cables, a tuner, a pedal, spare strings, sheet music and other accessories, so you can keep everything together in one place. The GB-E1 sits within our wider range of Chord gig bags, which also fit classical, acoustic and bass guitars, so you can match the right bag to the instrument you play.

Frequently Asked
What type of guitar does the GB-E1 fit?
It's shaped to fit a standard electric guitar. If you have a classical, acoustic or bass instrument, there are other bags in the Chord range made for those body shapes.
Is the bag waterproof?
The nylon fabric is water resistant rather than fully waterproof, so it handles light rain and damp conditions. We'd still recommend keeping it out of heavy or prolonged downpours.
How much padding does it have?
The interior has 20mm of padding all round, which gives your guitar a solid buffer against knocks and bumps during transport.
Can I wear it as a backpack?
Yes. It has back-pack shoulder straps for hands-free carrying, plus two carry handles for shorter lifts and loading.
Is there space for accessories?
Yes, there are three easy access pockets. They hold cables, a tuner, a pedal, spare strings, sheet music and other small accessories.
What holds the guitar in place inside the bag?
There's a neck hook inside that keeps the guitar steady while you zip up, so it doesn't slide about in transit.
