Description

The Chord DM02 is a handheld dynamic microphone built for stage and studio work. We've found it well suited to live vocals, with a presence boost that lifts intelligibility so the voice sits clearly in a mix. It's voiced to work with both male and female vocals, and the wide bandwidth and dynamic range mean it copes with instrument duties too if you need a single mic to cover more than one job.

The body uses rugged metal construction, which is the sort of thing you want when a mic gets handled night after night or packed into a bag between gigs. Output runs through a standard XLRM connector, so it drops straight into any mixer, interface or PA input that takes a balanced XLR lead. With a maximum SPL of 144dB it handles loud sources without distress, from close vocals to drums and amplified instruments.

We supply the DM02 with a mic holder (also called a clip) and a mic lead, so you can plug in and use it out of the box. It also comes in an ABS carry case to keep everything together and protected in transit. Output impedance is 600 Ohms at 1kHz and sensitivity is rated at -53dB, giving a solid, usable level into standard preamps. It's a straightforward, hard-wearing choice for anyone who needs a reliable dynamic vocal mic without fuss.
