Description

The Chord DHW-22 is a replacement drum head made for general use across a range of kits. It measures 22 inches, which suits most standard bass drums, and comes in a plain white finish that works well whether you want a clean look or a surface ready for miking up. If your existing head has worn through or lost its tone, this gives you a straightforward swap without much fuss.

We supply this as a general purpose head, so it handles everyday practice, rehearsals and gigs without needing anything specialist. The white coating (sometimes called a coated head in US shops) gives a slightly warmer sound than clear film and offers a little grip if you use brushes. Fitting is the same as any standard head: seat it over the shell, drop the hoop and counterhoop over the top, then tension the rods evenly until you reach the pitch you want.

Keeping a spare head or two around is sensible, since a split skin can end a session early. This 22in size is one of the more common bass drum measurements, so it should fit a wide selection of kits from beginners through to working drummers.
