The Chord DHT-8 is a clear replacement drum head measuring 8 inches, made for general purpose use across a range of kits. If your existing head has worn thin, dented or lost its tone, this gives you a straightforward way to get things sounding right again without much fuss.

The clear film is a good all-rounder. It delivers a bright, open sound with plenty of attack and sustain, which suits everything from practice sessions to gigging. We find clear heads work well on toms and snares where you want a bit of cut and definition, and the 8-inch size fits smaller toms and compact setups. Note that a drum head is sometimes called a drum skin in the UK, though the two terms are used interchangeably here.
