Description

The Chord DHC-8 is a coated replacement drum head measuring 8 inches, made to fit standard 8in drums. We supply these as a straightforward way to bring a tired kit back to life or to swap out a head that has lost its tone. The coated surface gives a warmer, more controlled sound than a clear head, along with a softer feel under the stick.

This head works well as a batter head, which is the top head you actually strike, as opposed to the resonant head fitted underneath. The coating also suits brush work, giving the texture that lets brushes sweep across the surface properly. It sits happily on toms and can serve on smaller snare drums where an 8in size applies, so it covers a range of practical uses across an acoustic kit.
