Description

The Chord CTM28-RB is a traditional teardrop-style mandolin finished in redburst with a gloss top. The body and neck are made from linden laminate, giving the instrument a light, manageable feel at around 1kg. The classic styling and rounded teardrop shape follow the format most players will recognise from folk, bluegrass and traditional playing.

Fitted with a hardwood composite fingerboard and matching bridge, the mandolin uses a floating adjustable bridge fed from a loop-end strung tailpiece. This setup lets you adjust the string height and intonation to suit your playing. Tuning is handled by two rows of four open-geared machine heads, arranged 4-a-side, and the instrument is strung and tuned in the standard mandolin layout of G, G, D, D, A, A, E, E across its four courses of paired strings.

The nut width measures 30mm and the scale length is 345mm, giving comfortable spacing for both new and returning players.
