Description

The Chord CCB90-SB is our contemporary electric bass, built around a compact, contoured basswood body finished in sunburst. The body shape is balanced and shaped to sit comfortably against you, whether you play seated or standing. A bolt-on maple neck joins the body with a deep cut joint and an extended neck pocket, which helps improve sustain and keeps the whole instrument feeling stable.

The neck carries an HPL fingerboard (called a fretboard by some players) with 24 large frets, giving you plenty of range across the neck. The nut width is 41mm and the scale length is 865mm, so it stays close to standard bass feel. Up top, the ultra-compact headstock holds four closed geared tuning machine heads, and a chrome-plated bridge handles the string anchoring at the body end. Total weight is 3.34kg, which keeps longer sessions manageable.

For tone, the CCB90 pairs a split coil humbucker with a single coil pickup. Two volume controls let you blend the two pickups to taste, and a single master tone rotary rounds off the sound. That layout means you can dial in a fuller bridge presence or a rounder neck voice, then fine-tune the top end.
