This scented candle brings a honey and oats fragrance and a touch of farmyard charm to any room, set in a smoky grey vessel with a natural-coloured lid. The chickens design shows a russet hen painted in a loose watercolour style, her feathers picked out in warm browns, creams and soft greys, standing on a splash of colour close to the base. At 250g, the candle stands 11.8cm tall, 7.8cm wide and 8.2cm deep, a neat round size that suits a shelf, sill or side table without crowding it.

Honey and oats is a cosy, homely pairing, and we think it is at its best in a kitchen, on a dining table or beside a favourite armchair as the evening draws in. The painted hen suits a farmhouse or country cottage scheme, and the grey and natural colouring sits quietly alongside creams, sage greens and soft neutrals.
