Description

The Chawton is a 182mm wide picture light built around a rectangular metal shade in polished nickel, mounted on an adjustable arm with knuckle joints that pivot the shade up and down. A single E14 bulb fitting sits inside the shade, directing light downward onto the artwork surface. The 186mm projection from the wall positions the shade 100-150mm in front of a typical framed canvas, allowing the light to wash evenly across the artwork without casting the frame shadow onto the piece itself.

Designed for smaller artworks, mirrors and photographs up to 600mm wide, the Chawton works in hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and home galleries where wall space is limited or where a larger picture light would visually dominate the frame. The adjustable knuckle joints allow the shade angle to be set during installation and adjusted later if the artwork is changed or re-hung. The wall bracket mounts to a standard UK back box or directly to the wall using two fixing points.

The polished nickel finish provides a reflective metallic surface that catches ambient room light during the day and pairs with both warm brass hardware and cooler chrome or steel fixtures in the same space.
