Chateau 4 Light Chandelier - Mocha Bronze

The Chateau is a 4-light chandelier built around a mocha bronze steel frame with scrolled arms radiating from a central column, each terminating in a candle-style E14 socket. Clear faceted crystal droplets hang from the scrollwork and central stem, catching and refracting candlelight across the frame. The mocha bronze finish is a mid-tone warm brown with subtle metallic highlights that deepen in recessed areas of the casting.

Designed for dining rooms, hallways and double-height entrance spaces, the 422mm diameter keeps the chandelier compact enough for rooms 3-4m square while the 512-2191mm adjustable drop allows it to work in standard 2.4m ceilings or rooms up to 4m high. The chain-suspended fitting ships with 1524mm of chain, which can be shortened during installation to set the chandelier at the required height above a dining table or console. Each of the four arms holds one E14 bulb (sold separately), typically 25-40W candle or flame-tip LED.

The scrollwork frame references French and Italian wrought-iron chandelier designs from the 18th century, with the mocha bronze providing a less formal alternative to polished or antiqued brass. The crystal droplets are faceted glass rather than lead crystal, giving clean light refraction without the weight or cost of traditional chandelier crystal. The frame weighs approximately 3.5kg when fully assembled, requiring secure ceiling fixing into either a joist or a spreading plate rated for the combined weight of fitting and bulbs.

What bulbs does the Chateau take?

The chandelier uses four E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each, sold separately. Most users fit 25-40W candle or flame-tip LED bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) to complement the mocha bronze finish and provide ambient dining light.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

Yes. The chandelier ships with 1524mm of chain, adjustable during installation to achieve drops between 512mm and 2191mm. For dining tables, a typical hang height is 700-900mm above the table surface, requiring ceiling heights of 2.4m or above.

What room size does the 422mm diameter suit?

The 422mm width works in rooms 3-4m square, including standard UK dining rooms, hallways and smaller entrance halls. In larger rooms the chandelier can be grouped with wall sconces or used as secondary lighting rather than the primary ceiling fitting.

Are the crystals lead crystal?

No. The droplets are faceted glass rather than lead crystal, which reduces weight and cost while still providing clean light refraction. They catch and scatter candlelight across the mocha bronze scrollwork when the chandelier is lit.
