Description

The Chartbury is a compact table lamp with a plated metal base and a simple fabric drum shade, operated by a touch dimmer rather than a switch. A light tap moves it through three brightness stages, so you can set a low glow or a brighter level to suit the moment. It stands 420mm tall with a 230mm shade and weighs just 0.8kg. The lamp has an integrated LED giving a warm white light, and comes with a 1.8 metre flex to the plug.

Its small size and touch control make the Chartbury a natural bedside lamp, though it works equally well on a desk, shelf or side table in a living room. The dimming is handy last thing at night, letting you drop the light low without getting up. Because it plugs straight in and dims at a touch, there is no need for a separate dimmer switch or a nearby wall control, which makes it easy to place wherever a socket allows.

The base is plated metal in either soft brass with a taupe shade or satin nickel with a dark grey shade, each paired with a matching flex. It is a Class 2 double insulated lamp, so no earth connection is needed, and its IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. The integrated LED is built in rather than replaceable, so the lamp is designed to last as a sealed unit. Dust the shade and wipe the base with a soft dry cloth, avoiding damp and harsh cleaners.
