This height-adjustable reading floor lamp takes its cue from classic pharmacy lamps, pairing a slim antique brass stem with a rotating head that tilts light exactly where you need it. The height moves between 1100mm and 1400mm, so you can set it low over a book or higher for a broader spread. You can pick a gloss opal glass shade for a soft, even glow, or an angled metal shade for a more directional beam. A single E27 lamp sits inside, and the fitting runs happily on LED bulbs.

It is built for a reading corner, working best beside an armchair, a reading chair or a home desk where adjustable, focused light matters. The 180 degree rotational head lets you swing the shade over a page or away towards the wall for a calmer background light. Its classic antique brass finish suits traditional and transitional rooms, while the compact 250mm by 350mm footprint means it slots neatly into a corner without crowding nearby furniture.

The metalwork is plated in antique brass, and an easy-reach rotary switch on the body handles on and off without a fumble. A two metre black PVC flex gives room to route the cable to a nearby socket. The shade rotates and the head tilts, so the lamp adapts as you move through a task. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to keep the brass looking its best.
