The Centipede is a 1650mm floor lamp built around a single red metal stem with five short branching arms extending horizontally at intervals up the column, giving the frame a skeletal, architectural profile. A white conical fabric shade sits at the top, housing a single E27 bulb fitting (bulb sold separately). The shade diffuses light through the fabric, casting ambient glow rather than directed task light.

Designed for living rooms, bedrooms and creative spaces where colour accent is as important as function, the Centipede works as both a light source and a sculptural object. The 310mm square footprint at the base keeps the lamp stable without needing wall support, and the five branching arms can be used to hang lightweight items (scarves, jewellery, keys) if needed, though their primary purpose is structural and visual. The red finish is a high-gloss powder coat that reflects ambient light and pairs well with white, grey, black and natural wood tones in contemporary interiors.

The Centipede takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for ambient room lighting.

Is the lamp dimmable?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the bulb you choose. LED bulbs marked as dimmable will work with most trailing-edge dimmers. Non-dimmable LEDs will not respond to dimmer controls and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer switch.

Can the branching arms hold items?

The five horizontal arms are primarily structural and decorative, but they can support lightweight items such as scarves, jewellery or keys. Avoid hanging anything heavy or placing weight that might unbalance the lamp.

How is the shade cleaned?

The white fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or vacuumed gently using an upholstery attachment. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with mild detergent is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric and allow it to dry completely before switching the lamp back on.
