Description
The Cellar Left is a wall-mounted light fitting with a single opal glass globe held on a left-facing black metal arm, containing an integrated 5W 3000K LED. The circular backplate fixes flush to the wall, with the arm extending outward and slightly upward to hold the globe approximately 135mm from the wall surface. The opal glass diffuses warm white light in all directions, making the globe itself the primary light source rather than casting a beam onto a surface.
Designed for bedside positions, hallway runs, and flanking mirrors or artwork, the Cellar works best where ambient rather than directional light is needed. The left-facing configuration suits positioning on the right-hand side of a bed or doorway when you want the light to extend inward toward the centre of the space. A right-facing version exists separately for symmetrical pairing or opposite-side placement. At 205mm wide and 195mm tall, the fitting occupies approximately the space of a side plate on the wall.
The matt black finish on the metal components absorbs light rather than reflecting it, keeping visual focus on the illuminated globe. The LED module is replaceable via the G4 socket, so when the LED reaches end of life after several years of use, the module can be swapped rather than replacing the entire fitting. The opal glass globe is approximately 120mm in diameter and sits proud of the black arm, giving the light a sculptural presence even when switched off.

Frequently Asked
Is the LED replaceable?
Yes. The integrated LED module connects via a G4 socket inside the fitting. When the LED reaches end of life, the module can be replaced with a compatible G4 LED capsule without changing the entire light.
What's the difference between the left and right versions?
The arm extends in the opposite direction. The left version extends left from the circular backplate; the right version extends right. This allows symmetrical positioning when flanking a bed, mirror or doorway.
Can it be used as a reading light?
No. The opal globe diffuses light in all directions rather than casting a focused beam, so it provides ambient illumination rather than directional task light. For bedside reading, pair it with a separate adjustable reading light.
How is it wired?
The fitting connects to a standard UK mains supply at 220-240V via a terminal block inside the backplate. It is not dimmable and should be wired to a simple on/off switch.
