Description
The Cellar is a 460mm tall table lamp built around two opal white glass globes mounted on a black metal frame in an asymmetric T-configuration. One globe sits at the top of a vertical stem, the second projects horizontally from a side arm, both powered by separate G4 low-voltage sockets. The opal glass diffuses light evenly in all directions, turning each globe into a softly glowing sphere rather than a directional source.
Designed as decorative ambient lighting for bedside tables, console tables and side tables in living rooms and bedrooms, the Cellar provides layered light from two points rather than a single bulb. The dual-globe arrangement creates depth and visual interest on narrow surfaces where a traditional shade-and-base lamp would feel heavy. The 150mm width and 225mm length footprint suits compact side tables and narrow console tables between 300-400mm deep.
The black metal frame uses a powder-coated finish that contrasts sharply with the soft white opal glass, giving the lamp a graphic, architectural presence against both light and dark walls. The vertical and horizontal arms meet at a right angle, creating a balanced asymmetry that reads as intentional rather than off-centre. At 0.75kg the lamp is light enough to move between rooms but weighted sufficiently at the base to remain stable on polished surfaces.
The G4 sockets accept standard low-voltage capsule bulbs (sold separately), typically 10-20W halogen or 1.5-3W LED equivalents. The lamp is not dimmable and runs on 220-240V mains via an integrated transformer housed in the base. A 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects in the metalwork and glass.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Cellar take?
The lamp uses two G4 low-voltage capsule bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair it with 1.5-3W G4 LED capsules in warm white (2700K-3000K) for bedside or side table use. Halogen G4 bulbs (10-20W) are also compatible but run hotter and consume more power.
Is it dimmable?
No. The lamp is not compatible with dimmer switches. The internal transformer is designed for standard on/off mains switching only.
What size table does it suit?
The 150mm x 225mm base footprint suits bedside tables, console tables and side tables with at least 300mm depth. The 460mm height works well on surfaces 400-700mm tall, keeping the upper globe at a comfortable eye level when seated.
How is the opal glass cleaned?
Switch off and allow the bulbs to cool fully. Wipe the glass globes with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the metal joints where the glass meets the frame.
