Description

The Celestia Small is an 80mm diameter cylindrical pendant light with a white metal body and an integrated LED light source running the length of the tube. The cylinder measures 705mm from top to bottom, suspended on a 700mm black cable from a compact white ceiling rose. The LED casts 3000K warm white light downward through the open base of the tube.

Designed for kitchen islands, breakfast bars, hallways and utility spaces where narrow pendant zones work better than wide shades, the Celestia occupies minimal horizontal space while providing focused downlight along its vertical axis. The 80mm diameter means multiple pendants can be installed in a row without crowding, typically spaced 300-500mm apart over a 1.2-1.5m worktop or island. The IP20 rating limits use to dry indoor areas.

The white powder-coated metal finish reflects rather than absorbs ceiling light, keeping the pendant visually light in smaller rooms. The cylindrical form runs clean lines from ceiling to mid-air without decorative detail, fitting minimal, Scandi and contemporary interiors where the fixture itself recedes behind the light it produces. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux.

No. The integrated LED operates at a fixed output on standard 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 705mm pendant body plus 700mm cable gives a total drop of approximately 1.4m from ceiling rose to base. In a typical 2.4m-height room this leaves 1m clearance from floor to pendant base, which works over kitchen islands and breakfast bars but may be too low for walkways. The cable length is not adjustable.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the pendant body and is not user-replaceable. The unit carries a 5-year warranty from Ideal Lux covering LED failure within normal domestic use.

How many pendants are needed over a kitchen island?

For a 1.2-1.5m island, 2-3 Celestia pendants spaced 300-500mm apart typically provide adequate task light. Over longer islands, add one pendant per additional 400-500mm of length.
