Description

The Cayman Square is a dual-function LED wall light with a 130mm square matt white backplate, a 3W adjustable reading arm projecting 116mm from the wall, and a 6W ambient LED hidden behind the backplate that washes light across the wall surface. Both LEDs emit 3000K warm white light and are controlled by separate rocker switches built into the backplate, allowing the reading arm and the wash light to be used independently or together.

Designed for bedside reading positions, lounge seating areas and hallway circulation where both task and ambient light are needed, the Cayman mounts directly to the wall without visible cabling or external switches. The 3W reading arm has a 30° beam angle and can be angled left or right on a pivoting joint to direct light onto a page, laptop or work surface. The 6W backlight has a 120° beam that spreads light evenly across a 2-3m section of wall, providing low-level ambient illumination without glare.

The matt white powder-coated aluminium finish gives a clean, non-reflective surface that suits white or light-coloured walls in contemporary, minimalist and Scandinavian interiors. The compact 130mm square footprint and 116mm projection keep the fitting close to the wall, making it suitable for narrower hallways and bedrooms where a traditional swing-arm reading light would protrude too far. At 0.6kg the fitting is light enough to be wall-mounted on standard plasterboard with cavity fixings.

Can the reading arm and wash light be used separately?

Yes. The Cayman has two independent rocker switches built into the backplate. One controls the 3W reading arm, the other controls the 6W ambient backlight. They can be used individually or together depending on the lighting needed.

Is the reading arm adjustable?

The reading arm pivots left and right on a ball joint, allowing the 30° beam to be angled towards a reading position. It does not extend or retract — the projection from the wall is fixed at 116mm.

Is the Cayman dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs are not dimmable and the fitting is not compatible with dimmer switches. The two switches control only on/off function for each LED.

What wall fixings are needed?

The 0.6kg fitting can be mounted on plasterboard with standard cavity wall fixings, or on solid walls with wall plugs and screws. The backplate has two fixing points and wiring connects to a standard UK lighting circuit via the rear of the backplate.
