Description

The Cayman Round is a 150mm diameter dual-function LED wall light combining a directional 3W reading arm with a 6W ambient backlight diffused through a frosted ring behind the circular satin nickel backplate. The reading arm pivots on a ball joint, allowing the narrow 30° beam to be aimed at a book, tablet or work surface. The 6W backlight casts a wider 120° wash of warm white light onto the wall, creating ambient illumination without glare.

Designed for bedside installation, lounge reading corners and study areas, the Cayman provides two independent light sources controlled by separate rocker switches on the front plate. The reading arm can be used alone for focused task light, the backlight used alone for ambient lighting, or both used together for layered illumination. The 110mm projection from the wall positions the reading arm within comfortable reach of a seated or reclined position.

Both LEDs are non-dimmable and fixed at 3000K warm white, delivering a combined 620 lumens at 9W total power consumption. The satin nickel finish has a brushed texture that softens reflections and pairs with stainless steel fixtures, chrome taps, and contemporary grey or neutral colour schemes. The fitting weighs 0.6kg and requires mains voltage connection behind the backplate.

Can the reading arm be adjusted?

Yes. The reading arm pivots on a ball joint, allowing the 30° beam to be directed at different angles for reading in bed, at a desk, or from a seated position. The joint holds the arm in place once positioned.

Are the two lights controlled separately?

Yes. Two rocker switches on the front plate control the reading arm and backlight independently. You can use one, the other, or both at the same time depending on the light needed.

Is the Cayman dimmable?

No. Both the 3W reading LED and the 6W backlight LED are fixed-output and not compatible with dimmer switches.

What height should it be fitted at?

For bedside use, 1.2-1.4m from the floor positions the reading arm within comfortable reach when sitting up in bed. For lounge or study use beside a chair, mount at shoulder height or slightly above when seated.
