Description
This is the flexible wiring we reach for when a colour temperature adjustable LED strip has to be linked back to its driver or controller. It carries three insulated cores, colour coded white, yellow and black, so the common and the two channels stay easy to tell apart at both ends of the run. The conductors are sized at 0.5mm, the familiar gauge for low voltage strip work, which keeps the cable slim and easy to bend around a tight corner. It is sold by the metre, and however many metres you order arrive as one continuous piece rather than a bundle of short offcuts.
It suits anyone building or extending a CCT strip installation: under kitchen wall units, along a shelf, inside a cove, or wherever the power supply sits some distance from the strip itself. Because the length comes uncut, you can measure the route properly and trim only what you need, which is far tidier than joining several pieces together. We keep it on the shelf for exactly this reason, as strip projects almost always need a little more cable than first expected, and it is just as useful to have a spare metre in the toolbox for repairs and reworks.
The three cores share one flat, slim profile that sits neatly out of sight, and the white, yellow and black insulation stays legible even after the cable has been coiled and uncoiled a few times. Store it in loose loops rather than tight kinks, and give the insulation a look over before reuse so any nicked or crushed section is spotted early; a dry wipe is all it needs otherwise. For single channel strip and general LED wiring we also stock two core versions of this cable in several sheath colours.

Frequently Asked
How is the cable supplied if I order several metres?
In one continuous length. Order five and you receive a single five metre piece, not five separate metre lengths.
Why does a CCT strip need three cores?
Colour temperature adjustable strip uses two channels, typically a warm and a cool, plus a shared common. That makes three conductors, which is what this cable provides.
What do the white, yellow and black colours mean?
They are identification for the three cores, so the same conductor is picked out at both ends of the run and the channels are not crossed.
What size are the conductors?
0.5mm, equivalent to 20 AWG, which is the usual gauge for low voltage LED strip runs.
Can I use it for single colour strip?
You can, using two of the three cores. If you only ever need two, our two core figure 8 cable is the neater choice.
How should I store any leftover cable?
Coil it in wide loops and keep it dry. Avoid sharp kinks, as repeated bending in one spot is what damages the insulation.
