Cascade 12 Light Crystal Chandelier - Gold

The Cascade is a 97.5cm crystal chandelier built on a 42cm diameter gold-finished metal frame with 12 E14 bulb fittings arranged around two tiers. Crystal strands cascade from the upper rim in a spiral formation, dropping approximately 90cm from ceiling to lowest point and creating a graduated waterfall effect. Each strand is strung with faceted crystal beads that fragment light into prismatic reflections across walls and floors when the bulbs are lit.

Designed for double-height entrance halls, stairwells and formal dining rooms with ceiling heights of 3.5m or higher, the Cascade needs vertical space to accommodate the full drop and to allow the crystal strands to hang freely without obstruction. The 12 E14 bulbs (sold separately) provide substantial light output when combined, making the fixture functional as primary lighting rather than purely decorative. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

The gold finish on the metal frame reads as a warm antique tone rather than polished yellow gold, softening the contrast between the metalwork and the clear crystal. The cascading arrangement creates movement even when static — air currents from opening doors or ventilation systems cause the crystal strands to sway slightly, shifting the light patterns. The two-tier structure at the canopy level allows the strands to overlap and interweave as they descend, increasing density towards the centre of the fixture. Each crystal bead is individually threaded, so replacements or repairs can be done strand-by-strand if needed over time.

What bulbs does it take?

The Cascade takes 12 E14 (small Edison screw) bulbs, each up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K for a traditional glow without excessive heat or energy consumption.

What ceiling height is needed?

The fitting is 97.5cm tall and requires clearance for the crystal strands to hang freely. A minimum ceiling height of 3.5m is recommended to allow adequate headroom below the lowest crystal point, particularly in entrance halls or above staircases where people walk beneath the fixture.

Can the drop height be adjusted?

The specification shows max and min heights both at 100cm, indicating the drop is fixed during manufacture. The chandelier is supplied with a set chain or suspension rod length that cannot be shortened or extended on site without altering the crystal strand configuration.

How is the crystal maintained?

Crystal beads collect dust over time. Clean with a dry microfibre cloth or a barely-damp cloth for stubborn marks. For a deeper clean, individual strands can be detached from the frame and soaked in warm water with a drop of washing-up liquid, then rinsed and dried before rehanging. Avoid spraying cleaning products directly onto the fixture as this can tarnish the gold finish on the metalwork.
