Casa 5 Light Chandelier - Black

The Casa is a 635mm diameter five-light chandelier with hand-forged wrought iron scrollwork finished in black, suspending five clear seeded glass shades on curved arms around a twisted central column. Each arm carries a single E27 bulb holder (bulbs sold separately, max 60W per socket), and the seeded glass diffuses filament or LED bulbs to create soft ambient light with visible sparkle through the textured glass.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the Casa hangs on a 1524mm adjustable chain allowing the minimum drop of 828mm to be extended to 2300mm where ceiling height allows. The 635mm spread suits tables 1400-1800mm long or entrance halls 3-4m wide where the chandelier can sit centrally without overwhelming the proportions. The twisted wrought iron column and scrolled arms give the fitting a traditional Spanish Revival character that pairs with both period interiors and contemporary spaces using black metalwork as an accent.

Each piece of the wrought iron frame is hand-forged, meaning the exact curve and taper of the scrollwork varies slightly between individual chandeliers. The seeded glass shades show small air bubbles and texture variation consistent with hand-blown glass production. The black finish is applied over the raw iron and provides a low-sheen surface that absorbs rather than reflects light, keeping visual focus on the illuminated glass shades rather than the metalwork. The combined weight of the wrought iron frame and five glass shades requires a ceiling fixing capable of supporting approximately 8-10kg.

What bulbs does the Casa take?

The chandelier takes five E27 (Edison screw) bulbs up to 60W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED filament bulbs at 4-6W and 2200K-2700K to complement the seeded glass and wrought iron.

What ceiling height is needed?

The minimum drop from ceiling rose to the lowest point of the chandelier is 828mm, which works in rooms with 2.4m ceilings when hung over a dining table. The chain extends to 2300mm maximum for higher ceilings in entrance halls or vaulted spaces.

Is the wrought iron rustproof?

The wrought iron is finished with a protective black coating suitable for dry indoor use. This is not an outdoor-rated fitting and should not be installed in damp or humid locations such as bathrooms or covered outdoor areas.

Does the seeded glass vary between pieces?

Yes. The seeded glass shades are hand-blown, so the density and distribution of air bubbles and surface texture differ slightly between individual shades and between different production batches. This is a characteristic of the glassmaking process.
