The Carson is a 254mm outdoor pendant light built around overlapping metal ribbons in a vintage iron finish that wrap around a central cylinder of clear seedy glass. The spherical metal cage houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) inside the glass, which creates textured light patterns through the seeded surface. The pendant is IP44-rated for outdoor use in covered positions.

Designed for porches, covered patios, garden room entrances and coastal balconies where weather protection is needed, the Carson hangs on a rod and chain system that adjusts from 433mm to 1193mm drop during installation. The vintage iron finish is a mid-brown with surface texture that suggests aged metalwork, pairing well with stone, brick and timber cladding. The 254mm diameter suits single-door entrances, covered walkways and porch ceilings between 2.4-3m height.

The overlapping ribbon construction leaves open gaps between each metal band, so the cage itself becomes part of the light pattern when the bulb is on — the shadow lines shift as you walk past. The drop is set during installation by adjusting the rod and chain before fixing the canopy to the ceiling. Once installed, the drop length is fixed unless the pendant is taken down and the rod/chain adjusted again.
