Description

Sold without a shade, this is a compact chrome wall fitting that hands the decision on shade to you. The backplate and short arm are finished in polished chrome, bright and reflective, and the fitting keeps close to the wall at 11cm across. An E27 socket sits at the head, ready to take a shade with the matching fitting. We would put an LED lamp in it and keep within the 20W maximum. Bare, it reads as plain metalwork, which is rather the point: the shade sets the character.

We use small fittings like this in pairs beside a bed, along a hallway where a wider shade would catch shoulders, or in a dressing area where the shade does the decorating and the metalwork stays quiet. It is a good pick if you already have a shade in mind, or if you want the wall lights to answer to a pendant elsewhere in the room.
