Description

The Carlson is a 372mm outdoor wall lantern with two E14 bulb fittings housed behind seeded glass panels, set within a rubbed bronze metal frame with a hinged access door. The seeded glass creates a textured light diffusion, softening the direct glare from candle-style bulbs (sold separately) while allowing the light to spread outward in a warm ambient pattern.

Designed for front doors, porches, garage entrances and covered patio walls, the Carlson carries an IP44 rating for protection against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for locations under eaves or canopies where direct rainfall is minimal. The 143mm projection from the wall gives clearance around door frames and the hinged front panel opens on a latch mechanism, allowing bulbs to be changed without removing the entire fitting from the wall bracket.

The rubbed bronze finish on the metal frame shows through as a darker tone with lighter highlights where the coating has been hand-rubbed during manufacture, giving variation across the surface rather than a flat uniform colour. The frame measures 208mm square in footprint and weighs approximately 1.8kg once fitted. The two E14 sockets accept candle bulbs up to 40W each, with most installations using 4-6W warm-white LED candle bulbs for energy efficiency and reduced heat output near the glass panels.
