The Capuccina Large is a 1150mm semi-flush ceiling light with six folded white metal shades, each formed from intersecting planes that create a sculptural cone shape. An integrated 45W LED array inside the shades delivers 3100lm of 3000K warm white light through the angled surfaces, with each shade housing its own light source. The shades are mounted on adjustable arms extending from a central white ceiling plate, allowing the configuration to be set during installation.

Designed for living rooms, dining areas and open-plan spaces with ceiling heights of 2.4-3m, the Capuccina sits 295mm below the ceiling when fitted. The 1150mm diameter gives the fitting substantial visual presence without requiring a high ceiling drop or a pendant cable. The adjustable arms can be positioned to spread the shades evenly across the width or grouped into a tighter cluster depending on the room layout and the desired light distribution.

Each white metal shade reflects light internally before it exits through the open end of the cone, diffusing the beam and reducing glare compared to exposed bulbs. The folded construction gives each shade a faceted surface that catches ambient daylight and creates depth when unlit. The 60° beam angle from each shade directs light downwards and outwards, providing functional overhead illumination rather than purely decorative accent lighting. The white finish pairs with both neutral and coloured interiors without dominating the palette.

The semi-flush mounting sits the fixture closer to the ceiling than a traditional pendant, making it suitable for rooms where pendant drops would intrude into head space or obstruct sight lines across open-plan layouts. The total weight of 4.5kg requires a ceiling joist or ceiling rose capable of supporting that load safely.

Is the Capuccina dimmable?

No. The integrated LED is not compatible with dimmer switches. The light output is fixed at 3100lm.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 295mm drop below the ceiling means the lowest point of the fitting will sit approximately 2.1m from the floor in a standard 2.4m-height room. For rooms with lower ceilings, the fixture may feel intrusive. Ceiling heights of 2.5m or above provide more comfortable clearance.

Can the arms be adjusted after installation?

The arms are adjustable during fitting to set the initial configuration. Once installed and the ceiling plate is secured, accessing the arm joints would require removing the fixture from the ceiling. Set the desired spread during installation.

What size room does it suit?

The 1150mm diameter and 3100lm output suit living rooms and open-plan spaces of 18-30m². In smaller rooms the fixture may dominate; in larger spaces multiple fittings or supplementary lighting may be needed to avoid dark corners.
