Description
The Camillo is a 375mm outdoor wall lantern with a cylindrical seeded glass shade enclosed in a black metal frame with vertical louvres. A single E27 bulb (sold separately) sits inside the glass cylinder, which carries a seeded texture that diffuses light outwards while maintaining the bulb as a visible decorative element when a filament or clear LED is used.
Designed for external walls on porches, patios, front doors and garage entries, the Camillo carries an IP44 rating against rain and splashing water, making it suitable for UK weather in locations that are not continuously exposed to driving rain. The 191mm projection from the wall gives sufficient clearance for a downward light spread without protruding far into pathways or sitting areas. The black metal finish pairs with modern, contemporary and transitional architecture where a clean-lined fixture is preferred over ornate lantern styles.
The vertical louvres on the metal frame run the full height of the glass cylinder, adding structural interest and breaking up what would otherwise be a plain black tube. The seeded glass has a bubble-textured surface that catches and scatters direct light from the bulb, softening the output while retaining transparency. The frame and glass are held together with a concealed fixing at the top cap, and the mounting bracket fixes to a standard UK external wall box.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Camillo take?
The lantern takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 4-8W and 2700K for a visible decorative element through the seeded glass.
Is it suitable for exposed outdoor positions?
The Camillo carries an IP44 rating, which protects against rain and splashing water. It is suitable for covered porches, wall positions under eaves, and locations that do not face continuous driving rain. It is not rated for full weather exposure such as open garden posts.
How is the glass cleaned?
The seeded texture on the glass collects more dust than smooth glass. Wipe the exterior with a damp microfibre cloth and mild detergent solution. For the interior, the top cap typically unscrews to allow access for cleaning and bulb replacement.
What finish options are available?
Kichler produces the Camillo range in multiple finish and size variants. Use the search function or filters at Niori to find other colour options and height variants in stock.
