Description
The Camillo is a 152mm diameter outdoor pendant in natural brass with vertical louvers cut into the brass canopy and a cylindrical clear seeded glass tube protecting the E27 bulb. The seeded texture in the glass diffuses light into a softer, wider spread while keeping the bulb visible as a warm glow through the textured surface. The brass canopy sits above and below the glass tube, creating a layered silhouette that reads as three stacked elements rather than a simple cylinder.
Designed for covered porches, entry canopies, and outdoor dining areas where the fitting remains sheltered from direct rain, the IP44 rating protects against splashing water and solid objects larger than 1mm. The 495-1407mm drop is adjustable on installation by shortening the rod inside the canopy, allowing the pendant to suit ceiling heights from 2.2m to 3.8m when hanging over an entry threshold or outdoor dining table. The natural brass finish will develop a patina over time when exposed to outdoor air, shifting from warm gold tones to darker, richer bronze.
The vertical louvers in the brass top and bottom caps provide ventilation for heat dissipation while casting thin shadow lines onto the glass when the bulb is lit. The clear seeded glass is hand-blown with deliberate bubbles and irregularities in the texture, so each Camillo pendant shows slight variation in the density and pattern of the seeding. The E27 socket accepts any standard Edison screw bulb up to 60W, giving flexibility to choose LED, halogen or decorative filament styles depending on the desired light colour and intensity.

Frequently Asked
Can the Camillo be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?
The IP44 rating protects against splashing water and objects larger than 1mm, which suits covered porches, canopies and recessed entry areas. It is not rated for fully exposed positions where rain falls directly onto the fitting. For exposed coastal or open patio positions, a higher IP rating (IP54 or IP65) would be more appropriate.
Will the natural brass tarnish over time?
Yes. Natural brass develops a patina when exposed to outdoor air, shifting from warm gold tones to darker bronze and eventually greenish tones depending on the local environment. This is a characteristic of unlacquered brass, not a defect. If a permanent bright finish is needed, polished brass or polished chrome variants would be more suitable.
What bulb works best with the seeded glass?
Most users pair the Camillo with a warm-white LED filament bulb (2200K-2700K) between 4-8W to create ambient outdoor lighting that complements the brass finish. The seeded glass diffuses the light into a softer spread, so higher-lumen bulbs work well without creating harsh glare.
How is the drop adjusted?
The rod inside the canopy can be shortened during installation by a qualified electrician, allowing the pendant to be set anywhere between the 495mm minimum and 1407mm maximum drop. Once installed, the drop cannot be adjusted without disassembling the fitting.
