Description
The Calvessa is a 320mm solid alabaster table lamp carved into a mushroom profile, with a broad domed top resting on a cylindrical column base. The entire form is cut from natural Spanish alabaster in a soft white tone, with an integrated LED concealed inside the stone running at 3000K on 230V mains. There are no visible bulbs, sockets or hardware on the surface — light emerges directly through the alabaster itself.
At 320mm tall and 320mm in diameter, the Calvessa suits bedside tables, console tables, sideboards and reading nooks where a compact ambient light is wanted rather than directed task light. The mushroom form casts a low, even pool of warm light across the surface beneath it and a softer downward wash, making it well suited to bedrooms, living rooms and hallway consoles where the lamp is used for background ambience.
Because the lamp is cut from a single block of natural stone rather than assembled from a shade and base, the veining and tonal variation move continuously across the dome and down the column. Each piece shows different mineral patterning and density, so no two Calvessa lamps look identical when lit. The solid alabaster construction gives the lamp substantial weight on the table and a monolithic, single-volume appearance with no joints, fixings or visible transitions between sections.

Frequently Asked
Does the Calvessa come with a bulb?
The light source is an integrated LED built into the alabaster body, running at 3000K warm white on 230V mains. There is no separate bulb to fit and no visible socket on the lamp's surface.
Is it dimmable?
The integrated LED runs from the standard 230V mains supply. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model — please contact us before pairing with a dimmer to confirm.
Will every lamp look the same?
No. Each Calvessa is cut from natural Spanish alabaster, so the veining, tonal variation and translucency differ between individual pieces. The patterning visible in product photography is indicative rather than identical to the lamp you receive.
How is the alabaster cleaned?
Alabaster is porous and softer than marble. Wipe the surface gently with a dry, soft microfibre cloth. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the stone and do not use household sprays, polishes or chemical cleaners.
