Description

The Calice is a 48cm diameter pendant light with a conical shade in a coffee-brown exterior and white interior, housing an integrated 16W 3000K LED that delivers 1200 lumens through a 120° beam angle. The white underside diffuses the light evenly downwards while the coffee-toned outer surface absorbs ambient reflections, creating a warm focal point without glare.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and breakfast bars in residential and hospitality settings, the Calice sits 450-2000mm below the ceiling on an adjustable cable. The 48cm diameter suits tables 1.2-1.8m long or kitchen islands 2-2.5m, providing adequate spread for four-to-six person dining without requiring multiple pendants. The conical profile directs most light downward onto the table surface while the wide beam angle prevents harsh shadows at the table edges.

The coffee finish is a matte powder coat that resists fingerprints and surface marks better than gloss finishes, making it practical for installation above food preparation areas. Is the Calice dimmable?

No. The integrated LED operates at fixed brightness on standard 230V mains switching. If dimming control is needed, consider selecting an alternative pendant with dimmable LED specification.

What table size does it suit?

The 48cm diameter and 120° beam angle work well above dining tables 1.2-1.8m long or kitchen islands 2-2.5m. For larger tables or islands, two pendants spaced 1.2-1.5m apart provide better coverage than a single fitting.

What height should the pendant hang above the table?

Standard practice is 700-800mm between the bottom of the shade and the table surface. This allows clear sightlines across the table while providing adequate task light. Adjust the cable length during installation to suit your ceiling height and table position.

Can the LED be replaced?

The LED module is integrated into the fitting and not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which at typical domestic use (3-4 hours per day) gives around 15-20 years of service before output degrades noticeably.
