Description

The Caldrin is a 600mm-diameter eight-light chandelier built from natural Spanish alabaster panels arranged in a tiered circular drum around a brass radial frame. Eight E14 lamp sockets sit at the centre of the fitting, casting light outward through the stone so each panel glows from within. The overall fitting height is 330mm at the drum, with a brass canopy and adjustable suspension rod above.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and open-plan living spaces with ceiling heights of 2.6m or higher, the Caldrin works as a central decorative and ambient light source. The 600mm diameter suits dining tables between 1.4m and 2.0m long, where the drum typically hangs 700-800mm above the table surface. The brass canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the suspension can be shortened on installation to suit lower ceilings.

Each rectangular alabaster panel is cut from solid stone, so veining, tonal banding and translucency vary between panels and between individual chandeliers. The panels are fixed to slender brass radial arms with visible brass studs at top and bottom, so the alabaster reads as a stepped, layered band rather than a continuous shade.
