Description

The Cabarete is a dual-function LED wall light combining ambient backlighting with a directional reading arm. The main body consists of a folded rectangular panel housing integrated LEDs that cast warm 3000K light upwards and through the edges, creating a soft glow against the wall. A flexible arm extends from the base, terminating in a 3W LED spotlight that directs focused task light for reading or close work.

Designed for bedside installation in residential and hospitality settings, the Cabarete provides two light sources from a single fitting. The ambient backlight provides low-level orientation lighting suitable for navigating a room at night, while the reading arm delivers directed task light without disturbing adjacent sleepers. An integrated switch on the body controls both sources. The compact 156mm width and 61mm projection suit installation above headboards, beside hotel beds, or flanking living room seating where a dedicated reading position is needed.

The matt white powder-coated aluminium finish matches contemporary white-on-white interiors and pairs neutrally with coloured bedding, wallcoverings and soft furnishings. The combined 470lm output from both LEDs draws just 6W on 230V mains. The LEDs are non-replaceable integrated units rated for 30,000+ hours, equivalent to approximately ten years of typical evening use. The Cabarete carries a three-year warranty covering manufacturing defects.

Yes. The flexible arm extending from the base can be repositioned to direct the 3W spotlight towards the reading position. The arm is flexible rather than jointed, allowing fine adjustment of the light angle.

Is the Cabarete dimmable?

No. The integrated LEDs operate at a fixed 6W output and are not compatible with dimmer switches. The integrated on/off switch controls both the ambient backlight and the reading spotlight together.

How is the switch accessed?

The switch is integrated into the main body of the fitting. It is accessible from the front of the unit once installed, allowing control without reaching behind the light.

What installation method is used?

The Cabarete mounts directly to a wall via a concealed backplate. Standard UK mains wiring connects behind the fitting. The 61mm projection from the wall includes the body depth and the mounting backplate.
