Description

The Brooklyn is a modern geometric rug made up of rectangular blocks of colour set in staggered columns, rather like a patchwork quilt laid across the floor. Its Multi colourway brings together red, deep wine, raspberry pink, orange, mustard and cream alongside sage green, teal and charcoal, and several of the blocks carry a fine knit-style motif that gives the pattern depth. It is machine made from polypropylene with a smooth pile, so the surface feels even and comfortable underfoot.

We see it as a living room rug first and foremost. The bright mix of colours lifts plain floorboards or a neutral scheme, and with so many shades in play it sits happily alongside cushions, throws and furniture in all sorts of colours. It comes in three sizes. The 120 by 170cm rug suits a reading corner or the space in front of a smaller sofa, the 160 by 220cm size gives a generous spread in front of a full sofa, and the 200 by 290cm rug is large enough to sit beneath a coffee table with the front feet of your seating resting on it, pulling the whole seating area together.

This polypropylene rug is stain resistant, which makes it a sensible choice for a busy family living room where cups of tea and the odd dropped snack are part of daily life. Before you choose, measure your floor and allow a border of bare floor around the edges, then pick the size that frames your furniture best.
