Description

The Brooklyn is a modern geometric rug in brown and beige, built from a patchwork of squares and oblongs set inside a deep chocolate brown border. The blocks run through dark brown, warm beige and a pale, almost sandy beige, arranged so no two neighbouring tiles quite match, which gives the design a relaxed, interlocking feel. It is machine made in polypropylene with a smooth pile, and the outline of every block is cut by hand, so each shape stands out in relief. The smooth pile feels even and comfortable underfoot.

We see it most at home in a living room, where its earthy colours sit comfortably with wooden floors, grey or neutral sofas and timber furniture. It comes in four sizes. The 60 by 120cm and 80 by 150cm rugs suit a spot beside the sofa, in front of a fireplace or at the foot of a chair, while the 120 by 170cm and 160 by 220cm sizes are large enough to sit under a coffee table.
