Description
The Broni is a 16cm concrete pendant light with a grey dome shade and black metal canopy and cord. The shade is cast from a concrete mix that gives a raw, textured surface with tonal variation between pieces, paired with a matt black metal holder that grips the rim of the dome and a black fabric-covered suspension cord. The pendant takes a single E27 bulb up to 60W (sold separately) and the bulb sits inside the dome, so the concrete itself becomes the diffuser.
Designed for kitchen islands, dining tables, bar counters and stairwells where a compact pendant provides directed task light without blocking sightlines, the Broni can be used individually or arranged in rows of two or three to light a longer surface. The adjustable drop ranges from 23cm to 222cm, allowing the pendant to be set 600-900mm above a worktop or dining surface depending on ceiling height. The concrete dome weighs approximately 1.2kg when fitted, giving the pendant a solid presence on the suspension cord.
The grey concrete has a poured finish with slight surface pitting and colour variation depending on where in the mould each shade was cast, so no two pendants look identical. The interior of the dome has a smoother finish than the exterior, which helps reflect light downwards rather than absorbing it into the texture. The IP20 rating means the Broni is suitable for dry indoor locations only, not bathrooms or outdoor covered areas.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
The Broni takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W and 2700K for kitchen or dining use.
Does the concrete shade vary between pieces?
Yes. Each shade is cast from a concrete mix, so surface texture, pitting and tonal variation differ between individual pieces. This is characteristic of cast concrete, not a defect.
Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?
The drop is set during installation by adjusting the cord length through the ceiling rose. Once fitted, the height cannot be changed without re-accessing the ceiling rose and re-threading the cord.
Is it suitable for bathroom use?
No. The IP20 rating means the Broni is suitable for dry indoor locations only. It cannot be used in bathrooms, wet rooms or outdoor covered areas.
