Our Broad Ribbon Waves 3D wall panels bring a slow, rolling movement to a plain wall. Each panel is a 50cm square of white PVC carrying three broad, raised wave bands across its width. Every band is edged by curved lips that spread wide and pinch narrow in one long undulation, and neighbouring bands are widest at opposite sides, so the pattern rocks gently back and forth like lengths of ribbon laid side by side. The relief is 20mm deep, so the lips cast clear shadows along their edges when light comes from the side, giving the waves real shape without crowding a room.

These panels are made for interior walls in homes, offices, hotels and shops. Use them across a whole feature wall behind a bed or sofa, behind a reception desk or along a shop counter, where the white relief gives a large plain surface some depth. Laid one way, the waves run along the wall in calm, horizontal lines; turn the panels and the waves rise up the wall instead, drawing the eye upwards. Daylight from a window or a wall light grazing the surface picks out every lip, and the shadows soften and deepen as the light moves through the day.

Each panel is formed from a 0.8mm PVC sheet. Fitting needs no special equipment: spread adhesive on the back of the panel, press it onto the wall, cut panels to fit at the edges, then fill the joins with filler and wipe them clean. Adhesive and filler are sold separately. Four panels cover one square metre, which makes it simple to work out how many your wall needs. The PVC is waterproof and wipes clean with a damp cloth, so it asks little upkeep. For the strongest effect, plan the wall so a wall light or window sits to one side, where its light skims across the waves.
