Description
The Brio is a 760mm table lamp built around a solid rectangular column of white marble, set on a stepped brushed brass base. A slender brass stem rises from the top of the marble to support a rectangular white fabric shade, and a single E27 lamp socket sits inside. The marble shows soft grey and warm rust-toned veining that varies from one column to the next, given the natural origin of the stone.
At 430mm long and 230mm wide, Brio suits console tables, sideboards and wider bedside tables where a substantial lamp is wanted rather than a slim accent. The proportions read well as a pair flanking a sofa or either side of a bed, and the rectangular shade casts a broad pool of light over the surface below — useful for ambient lighting in a living room or warm bedside reading. An inline cord switch on the cable allows the lamp to be operated without reaching under the shade.
The marble column is solid stone rather than a veneer or cast resin, which gives the lamp real weight and stability on its brass plinth. The stepped base has crisp machined edges and a brushed brass finish that softens reflections under direct light. The shade's rectangular silhouette mirrors the geometry of the marble below, keeping the overall form architectural and rectilinear rather than ornate.
The fitting takes a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to the rated wattage shown on the lamp holder, sold separately. Pairing with a warm-white LED between 2700K and 3000K complements the cream tone of the shade and the warmth of the brass, while a clear filament bulb is hidden by the shade and not visible from normal viewing angles.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does the Brio take?
The lamp uses a single E27 (Edison screw) bulb, sold separately. A warm-white LED between 2700K and 3000K pairs well with the cream shade and brass base, and most users choose a 6-10W LED equivalent to a traditional 60W bulb.
Does the marble vary between lamps?
Yes. The column is cut from natural marble, so the veining pattern, intensity of the rust and grey markings, and the underlying tone of the white differ between individual lamps. This is a feature of the natural stone rather than a defect.
How is the lamp switched on?
An inline rocker switch is fitted to the mains cable, so the lamp can be turned on and off without reaching under the shade. The cable plugs into a standard UK three-pin socket.
How should the marble be cleaned?
Wipe the marble column with a dry, soft microfibre cloth to remove dust. For marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable. Avoid household sprays, polishes, vinegar or any acidic cleaner, as these can etch the polished surface of natural marble.
