Brindleigh Large Single Tiffany Pendant - Multicoloured

The Brindleigh is a large single pendant with a 500mm multicoloured Tiffany-style leaded glass shade on a metal suspension. Height adjusts between 465mm and 1490mm, so it can hang low over a table or sit high in a hall with a tall ceiling. One 60W E27 GLS bulb does the work, and bulbs are supplied separately. The shade is made from individually cut glass panels joined with lead, and the colour reads differently lit and unlit: rich and warm with the bulb on, a quieter mosaic in daylight.

A ceiling light of this width wants a little space around it. It looks best centred over a dining table, a kitchen island or a hall table, roughly 750mm to 900mm above a dining surface so the glass sits in view without blocking sightlines. In a living room it works as the main pendant with lamps for lower light. The adjustable drop suits both standard and taller rooms, and the single-bulb output gives an ambient wash rather than task light, which is what most people want above a table.

Each glass piece is cut and leaded individually, so small variations between shades are normal for this kind of glass rather than a fault. Clean it with a dry soft cloth, or a barely damp one on stubborn marks, drying the lead lines afterwards. Keep solvents and scouring creams away from the surface. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms, and the fitting is Class 2, double insulated, at 3kg. A Brindleigh flush ceiling light and wall light use the same glass if you want the look repeated.
