Description

The Brillis is a 900mm diameter chandelier built around a two-tier white fabric drum shade with cascading crystal droplets beneath. Ten E27 bulbs sit inside the fabric drum, casting diffused light through the pleated white fabric while the crystal strands below catch and refract that light across the room. The fabric shade is suspended on chrome-finished metal supports, with a 2400mm adjustable cable run.

Designed for dining rooms, living rooms and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Brillis provides both ambient light through the fabric drum and decorative sparkle from the crystal cascade. The 900mm diameter suits rooms of 15-25m² comfortably without overwhelming a typical 3-4m dining table. The IP20 rating confines it to dry indoor spaces. The chandelier is dimmable when paired with compatible dimmer switches and dimmable E27 bulbs.

The white fabric shade uses a fine pleated construction that softens the light from the ten bulbs, preventing glare while maintaining even distribution across the room. The crystal droplets are strung on transparent filament and hang approximately 200mm below the lower tier of the fabric drum, giving the chandelier an overall drop of around 800mm before cable adjustment. The chrome supports and canopy pair cleanly with both warm-toned and cooler contemporary interiors. Each Brillis ships from Ideal Lux in Italy and carries a 5-year warranty.

Frequently Asked

What bulbs does the Brillis take?

The chandelier takes ten E27 (Edison screw) bulbs, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 6-8W and 2700K-3000K to match the warm tone of the white fabric. Total wattage depends on bulb choice, but ten 8W LEDs would draw 80W combined.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, the chandelier is dimmable when fitted with dimmable E27 bulbs and paired with a compatible dimmer switch. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific switch model and bulb type — LED bulbs require an LED-compatible dimmer.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 800mm drop from canopy to crystal base, plus the 2400mm adjustable cable, works best in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. For a dining table the chandelier typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, requiring a minimum 2.7m ceiling to avoid head clearance issues.

How is the fabric shade cleaned?

The pleated white fabric can be gently dusted with a soft dry cloth or a microfibre duster. For more stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water is acceptable, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays. The crystal strands can be wiped with a damp microfibre cloth and dried immediately to prevent water spots.
