Our Brillia lighting track is a slim black rail that fixes to the surface of a ceiling and carries 1-phase track lights along its full length. It runs three metres long, 34mm wide and 19.5mm high, so it keeps a low, tidy profile against the ceiling rather than hanging down into the room. What you receive is the track itself, in a black finish with a crisp, squared-off end. The track lights are not included and are bought separately, so the rail gives no light of its own until you add spotlights to it.

Surface mounting suits ceilings that cannot or should not be cut, from poured concrete to period plaster. A three metre run is long enough to light a kitchen worktop, a run of cabinets or a gallery wall from a single line. Because the lights sit on the track rather than in fixed holes, you can space them where they are needed and re-aim them as furniture moves or new pictures are hung.
