Description

The Brillia 3-Phase Recessed L-Connector joins two sections of 3-phase track lighting rail at a right angle, forming an L-shaped configuration with the outgoing rail on the right-hand side. The connector houses the electrical contacts for all three phases inside a black plastic casing that sits 35mm above the track, with a 120mm x 120mm footprint where the two track runs meet. The connector supports 1-10V dimming control when paired with compatible dimmers and drivers.

Designed for retail, gallery, hospitality and office installations where track lighting needs to turn a corner, the right-hand orientation means the outgoing rail extends to the right when facing the connector from the incoming rail. This allows track layouts to follow room perimeters, create grid patterns across ceilings, or route around architectural features without needing to run separate circuits. The recessed profile integrates with flush-mounted track systems where the track rail sits level with the ceiling surface rather than surface-mounted below it.

The plastic housing is rated IP20 for indoor dry environments and carries the electrical contacts that maintain continuity across all three phases through the 90-degree turn. The 120mm arms on each side provide enough contact area to secure the connector to the track rail ends without requiring additional ceiling fixings at the join itself. The black finish matches standard black track rail finishes from Ideal Lux and blends into dark ceilings when the track is recessed.

What's the difference between right and left connectors?

The orientation refers to which direction the outgoing rail extends when you're facing the connector from the incoming rail. A right connector has the outgoing rail on the right-hand side, forming an L-shape that turns clockwise. A left connector turns anti-clockwise.

Is this compatible with surface-mounted track?

This is designed for recessed track installations where the rail sits flush with the ceiling. For surface-mounted track that projects below the ceiling, Ideal Lux produces separate surface-mount L-connectors with different housing profiles.

Does it support all three phases?

Yes. The connector maintains electrical continuity across all three phases through the 90-degree turn, allowing track spots on either side of the connector to be controlled independently via the phase selection on each fitting.

What dimming protocol does it support?

The connector supports 1-10V analogue dimming control. This requires compatible LED drivers in the track spots and a 1-10V dimmer on the control circuit. The connector itself is a passive component that passes the dimming signal through to the track.
