Description

Solid brass gives our Brighter Days Pendant Lampshade Penta its warm metallic glow, a finish we chose to sit comfortably in a living room, hallway or dining space. The metal is worked into a faceted, angular shade that tapers to a point at its base, with flat planes catching the light at different angles rather than one soft curve. It is a compact shade, measuring 8.7cm in height with a width and depth of 4.5cm, so it reads as a small, precise form rather than a large fitting overhead.

The Penta size fits within the Brighter Days range alongside the Quadra and Hexa shapes, each a slight variation on the same faceted idea. This particular pendant lampshade weighs 0.3kg, light enough to hang neatly from a single cord or to group in a cluster of three or five above a dining table or kitchen island. The brass planes have a clean, angular geometry that we like for the way they throw shadows onto a ceiling, and the pointed base draws the eye downward to whatever sits below. Because the shade is open at the point, it lets light fall directly as well as glowing across the metal itself.

Assembly takes around 10 minutes, so you can have it fitted and switched on without much effort on your part.
