Description

The Bora is a 27cm oval LED wall light with an integrated 16W LED module producing 1350 lumens of 3000K warm white light behind a matt black metal faceplate. The fitting mounts flush to the wall with just a 40mm projection, making it suitable for hallways, corridors and bedrooms where space is limited but wall-mounted lighting is needed for task or ambient function.

Designed for residential hallways, staircases, bedrooms and living areas where ceiling heights or room layouts favour wall-mounted rather than ceiling-mounted lighting, the Bora provides a spread of light across a 120° beam angle. The fitting works in pairs either side of a bed for reading, singly in a hallway to light a run of wall, or in multiples down a stairwell to provide even illumination on steps. The non-dimmable LED runs on standard 230V mains without needing a separate driver or control gear.

The matt black finish on the metal faceplate absorbs light rather than reflecting it, which reduces glare and gives the fitting a low-contrast appearance against dark-painted or charcoal-grey walls. On white or light-coloured walls the black faceplate provides a defined visual anchor. The oval shape softens the geometry compared to a square or rectangular wall light, and the smooth surface has no visible fixings once installed. At 1.32kg the fitting has enough mass to feel solidly built without requiring reinforced fixing into standard plasterboard walls with appropriate wall plugs.

Is the Bora dimmable?

No. The integrated LED runs at a fixed 16W output on 230V mains and is not compatible with dimmer switches. The fitting produces 1350 lumens at full brightness.

What is the beam angle and spread of light?

The LED has a 120° beam angle, which spreads light across approximately 2-3 metres of wall or floor at typical mounting heights of 1.5-2m. The oval faceplate directs more light horizontally than vertically.

Can it be used in bathrooms?

The specification table does not list an IP rating, so the Bora is designed for dry internal rooms only. It is not suitable for bathroom zones where moisture or water contact is expected.

How is the fitting installed?

The Bora mounts directly onto a standard wall surface using screws and wall plugs (not supplied). The mains cable is fed through the back of the fitting and connected to the terminal block inside. A qualified electrician should carry out the installation and final connection to the mains supply.
