The Bonn is a 100cm tall bollard light built around a rectangular metal frame finished in graphite, with an integrated 10W 3000K LED module positioned at the top. The frame forms an open archway that directs light downward onto paths, driveways and garden borders, with the LED sitting recessed behind a frosted diffuser to prevent glare at eye level.

Designed for pathway and perimeter lighting in residential gardens, driveways and commercial landscaping, the Bonn carries an IP65 rating that protects against both dust ingress and water jets from any direction, making it suitable for year-round outdoor installation across the UK. The 100cm height positions the light source above typical ground-level planting and allows it to cast a pool of light approximately 1.5-2m in diameter depending on mounting position. Multiple units spaced 2-3m apart create continuous pathway illumination without overlapping glare zones.

The graphite finish is a dark grey powder-coated metal that resists corrosion in coastal and urban environments and sits neutrally against grey paving, natural stone and contemporary cladding. What does IP65 mean for outdoor use?

IP65 means the bollard is fully protected against dust ingress and can withstand water jets from any direction. This makes it suitable for year-round outdoor installation in the UK, including exposed positions on driveways, pathways and coastal gardens.

How is the bollard installed?

The Bonn requires a mains voltage supply (220-240V AC) to be run underground to the installation position, terminating in a weatherproof junction box or directly into the bollard's base connection chamber. The bollard base is then fixed to a concrete foundation or paving using ground anchors. Full installation instructions are available in the product manual linked in the Downloads tab. A qualified electrician should handle the mains connection and outdoor wiring.

What spacing is recommended between multiple bollards?

For continuous pathway lighting, space Bonn bollards 2-3m apart. Closer spacing (2m) suits narrow paths or areas where higher illumination is needed; wider spacing (3m) works for broader driveways or decorative accent lighting along garden borders.

Can the LED module be replaced?

The LED is integrated into the bollard and is not user-replaceable. The module is rated for approximately 25,000-30,000 hours of operation, equivalent to around 10 years of typical evening use. Maytoni provides a 3-year manufacturer warranty on the complete unit.
